Description
The location "An der Raa 12" is home to a modern day care centre with space for about 40 infants and toddlers ranging in age from a few months up to three years and about 60 pre-schoolers from three years old up to school age. Our WABE day care centre opened on 2 January 2015.
In a centre totalling approx. 1,000 square meters, the children at the centre have access to well-lit and bright functional rooms equipped with high-quality materials and furnishings. The rooms include a large movement area with an integrated movement lab (based on Elfriede Hengstenberg's approach) as well as a motor development centre, art studio, woodworking shop, music and dance room, a reading lounge with a children's library and a dramatic play room. In addition, the WABE day care centre has a spacious health and wellness area with a Kneipp pool and infrared sauna. And the kids can cook and bake in the children's kitchen.
With its well-lit, bright areas and the "hochebene" ("plateau"), featuring stimulating and inviting learning, movement and dramatic play rooms, including a ball pool, wave ramp and climbing nets, the nursery area offers the youngest children ample space to try out things, explore and discover. An art studio, music room and a movement room equipped with high-quality materials (based on Emmi Pikler's approach) provide the children with the ideal opportunities to play and get creative. The spacious cafeteria also serves as a meeting point for parents. In addition, the nursery area has nap and resting rooms especially for infants and toddlers.
